Summary

Mindful Libraries; a collaborative initiative between Mirador Magazine, NANA'S BOOKS, and The Resense Register Newspaper has now partnered with Readability Matters.

Mindful Libraries has recently partnered with the amazing team at Readability Matters. Their work on bringing accessible reading to adults and children through tech innovation and user-selected formats is inspiring. Recently, they have included pieces from Mirador Magazine, NANA’S BOOKS and the Resense Register newspaper in their Readability Sandbox. This innovative tool allows readers to personalize text by changing the font, characters, line spacing, column width and more; boosting comprehension, accuracy, and reader speed. Readability Matters highlights this point by saying that “these flexible options make it easier to find a combination that suits individual preferences and needs. For readers experiencing cognitive change, visual impairment, or age-related challenges, these personalized settings can be transformative.” Such game-changing work!

They also go on to mention that they, “are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with such mission-driven individuals and to support their work through the Readability Sandbox platform.” We are also so grateful to share space with people who are dedicated to helping people gain and retain literary skills.

Thank you so much to Readability Matters Founders Kathy Crowley and Marjorie Jordan for your dedication in shifting the reading paradigm for so many communities. Check out the Readability Sandbox by clicking on the link in the article.
